What to Expect?


Another great feature Hairline Time offers unlike most SMP companies is a one day process. Most SMP companies complete the process in 3 days. The day of your scheduled procedure you arrive at our facility at 9:00 a.m. You will be greeted by a member of the Hairline Time staff. You will then be introduced to your SMP technician. You and your technician will have a brief conversation to address any technical questions you may have prior to getting started to manage your expectations while creating your new look. Lunch and snack will be provided. Your SMP procedure will be completed about 4-5 p.m. You will receive a post treatment kit with instructions and its application. Our post treatment kits are 100% organic.

What to Expect?


  • Please keep in mind this is a 2 step process.
  • There is no fee for the second visit.
  • It is very important to complete the visits, which is usually 30-60 days apart.
  • Each individual heals differently as our body chemistries are different and responds differently to the pigments.
  • The initial look of the brows in the first 10 days will be very defined and is Not the final result.
  • If the 2nd visit is not attended to, the brows will gradually fade away.
  • Occasionally, a 3rd visit is necessary for certain clients, 30 days later after the 2nd visit; this is not uncommon.

    • Pre: Do not take over-the counter medication this is NOT medically necessary 2-3 days before the procedure. Acceptable medication is as follows:
  • Aspirin
  • Niacin
  • Fish oils
  • Vitamin E
  • Ibuprofen or any pain killer
  • Tylenol

    • If you use Accutane, you must be off Accutane for 1 year, NO EXCEPTIONS!

  • Do not consume alcoholic beverages the day before the procedure Avoid working out or sweating excessively before procedure if you get your eyebrows waxed or tinted, it is recommended to wait at least 3 days before the procedure
  • Antacids, thyroid and anxiety medications have been reported as interfering with Retention or shifting the pigments to an undesirable tone.
  • It usually takes 2 hours for the procedure, or sometimes a little longer, depending on some individuals.
  • Consultation is given within that 2-hour timeframe to go over brow shape and color.
  • Initial outline of brow shape is drawn on and once client approves, the technician will apply a numbing agent and begin depositing pigment with a hand held microblading tool, not a machine.
  • Please keep in mind that our faces are NOT symmetrical, and its almost impossible to create identical brows, but we aim to create as much symmetry as possible.
  • Each brow hair is drawn on one by one to create a natural look and typical lasts 1-2 years depending on the individual and will gradually fade.
  • This is a semi-permanent procedure , as the pigment is not placed as deep into the skin and gradually fades as the skin naturally exfoliates, taking some of the pigments with it.
  • After care for Microblading/3D Semi-Permanent: Proper aftercare is necessary to achieve the best results.
  • 4-5 hours after the procedure ,cleanse the treated are a ONCE with distilled or boiled water at room temperature with gauze or cotton balls/pads. Wipe away all of the ointment.
  • Avoid direct shower water on the treated area. Absolutely NOTHING on treated area. No WATER, no makeup, lotions, pencils, etc. for 10 days. This will ensure that the hairline stay as fine as possible water, sweat and oils can cause the hair strokes to blur and spread out. After the 10 days, you may use a gentle cleanser to cleanse brows but avoid scrubbing area for 1 month.
  • ABOSOLUTELY NO sun, sweating, or tanning prior to the procedure or after the procedure for 10 days. This will cause the color to fade.
  • Do NOT rub, scrub, scratch or pick at the treated area. Let any scabbing or dry skin naturally exfoliate off.
  • No swimming until the area is completely healed.

  • Will Scalp Micro pigmentation Blend in With My Existing Hair Successfully?
    It’s a good question. It’s one that needs to be asked and must be answered before you decide to go ahead with scalp micro pigmentation. The answer is yes in most cases, however blond hair and gray are not follicles that can be replicated with ink.

  • Is this a tattoo?
    No, but similar. A tattoo procedure is conducted by using an 1-2 millimeter needle. A Scalp Micro pigmentation procedure consist of using a 1 millimeter needle, depositing ink on the top layer of your scalp referred to as the dermis layer.

  • Is Scalp Micro Pigmentation permanent?
    The answer is yes. Since this is a permanent procedure is vital that you have a skilled, licensed technician who conducts your SMP procedure. Make sure you do your research.

  • Is Scalp Micro Pigmentation reversible?
    This is not tattoo ink, this is specially formulated ink used for our purpose. There is no risk of color turning blue or green. Some clients experience fading may after 10-12 years. Some clients experience no fading. Every clients skin is different and retention will vary. It's not uncommon to need a touch treatment at some point.

  • Is the Scalp Micro Pigmentation procedure painful?
    In most cases no, however some clients feel minimal pain. We provide over the counter pain medicine if needed.

  • Will the pigment used fade or change color?

    Although it may be referred to as a hair tattoo, our inks do not change color after applying like a regular tattoo does

    Our 3 day Microblading Training Course will enable you to acquire not only theoretical knowledge, but also practical skills by applying microblading on live models. Once you complete the bloodborne Pathogens and pass your written and hands on exam, you will receive a certificate that certifies you to perform microblading.
